What is StudyPoint?
Studypoint is an online marketplace for university students to upload, download, buy and sell their courses notes. StudyPoint was founded in 2020 by two Slovak girls and a Dutch guy.
Is StudyPoint free?
Yes and no. Signing in is totally free and some documents will also be available for free. However, since StudyPoint is a marketplace, it is also possible that you will have to pay for a document you like.
How does it work?
It's very simple. You sign in, look for documents you like and then download them. If they cost points you may need to top up your wallet before being able to download them. If you are interested in selling your notes, you simply have to upload your documents and set your price.
How much do I receive when selling my notes?
Each time you sell one of your documents StudyPoint will take a 20% commission. For example, if you sell a document for 100 points, you will receive 80 points.
What can I upload / sell?
You can sell any course notes and summaries as long as you are the one who has written them.
What can't I upload / sell?
StudyPoint will not approve any materials apart from notes and summaries. That means we do not accept assignments, essays, exams. etc. or notes that were created by 3rd party.
What do I do if my university / faculty / program is not StudyPoint?
If you find out that the university / faculty / program you are looking for is not on StudyPoint, then please contact us.
What can I use my points for?
Currently you can use the points for buying coures notes and summaries on StudyPoint.
Can I download documents if I don't have any points?
Yes and no. You can download documents that are free when you don't have any points, but must pay for ones that aren't. In both cases you need to be signed in.
How do I change my profile settings?
When you are signed in go to the menu on the left and click on settings. Once you have done that, it will take you to the settings page where you can edit your profile.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, it is possible. To do so please contact us and we will take care of it.
I haven't received any confirmation email after signing up, what do I do?
If you haven't received any confirmation e-mail after signing in, please contact us and let us know.
Can I delete documents that I have uploaded?
Yes you can, however in this case you have to contact us and we will take care of it. Also, you have to give us a reason why you want to delete that document.
The content of a document that I downloaded is inappropriate or irrelevant, what can I do?
If you find a document that is inappropriate, irrelevant or in violation of our terms and conditions, then please report it to us and we will handle it appropriately.
What format and what size do I have to upload my documents in?
It is currently only possible to upload documents in PDF format with a size of up to 5MB.
I uploaded a document, but I made a mistake. What do I do?
In this case please contact us and we will sort it out. Also, you have to tell us where you made a mistake.
How can I rate a document?
Once you download your document a form will appear, which you can use to rate the submission.
How can I report a document?
On the document's page you can find a report button that will allow you to submit a report to us.
What happens to my points if I delete my account?
In case you want to withdraw your points after deleting your account then please contact us and we will sort it out with you on an individual basis.
Can I share documents from your website with others?
Yes and no. You can share a link to the submission on StudyPoint with your friends. However, you cannot share offline documents that you have downloaded.
How does copyright work for downloaded documents?
If you download a document, you don't own the copyrights to this document. Therefore, you can only use this document for personal use. StudyPoint is not responsible for the documents shared via its platform.
What happens to my copyright when I upload a document on StudyPoint?
When you upload a document on StudyPoint you are still an exclusive owner of the document, meaning that you own the copyrights to the document.
I found my document on StudyPoint posted without my consent, what do I do?
When someone copies and distributes someone else’s work they are committing plagiarism. Plagiarism is strictly illegal. If you see a suspicious document, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will handle it appropriately.
Is it legal to sell my notes on StudyPoint?
Yes, as long as you have written these notes yourself, you are legally entitled to sell those notes on StudyPoint.
How do I buy notes?
Once logged in you can use our search functionality to find documents. Once you have found one you like, there will be a button which will allow you to buy it. In case your wallet is empty, you will have to add points to it first.
How do I sell notes?
It is very simple. Once logged in you will find an upload button that will take you to a form. Here you have to enter some details describing the document, such as the university it belongs to or the amount of points you want to charge. Once you have filled in all the necessary information, you can submit it and it will be uploaded immediately.
How do I get paid and when?
You receive the points once someone downloads your document (if you set a price while uploading it). On your wallet page you can create a withdrawal request (minimum of 500 points) and we pay commissions at the beginning of each month. All payments are processed through Stripe, meaning that you need to have an active account on Stripe that is linked to your StudyPoint account (see your settings). Make sure all the information on Stripe and on StudyPoint match.
How do I charge my wallet?
Once logged in you will be able to add points to your account from the wallet page. We use Stripe to process payments, which makes it very quick and easy. The minimum amount you can add at a time is 500 points (5 €).
How does the point system work?
1 € = 100 points.
I am not happy with my notes, can I get a refund?
Yes, it is possible to get a refund by sending us an email with the reason why you want a refund. You must have also purchased the document in the last 24 hours.
